Shuffle Off to Buffalo with Farm & Garden

Plan to join us for fun and friendship at our next Annual Meeting, June 2-6, at the Holiday Inn at Grand Island, NY.
We have reserved a lovely hotel overlooking the Niagara River, near the falls. This Grand Dame has served many conventions and the newly renovated rooms await our arrival. A sumptuous hot buffet breakfast is included with each affordable guest room.
Agenda: Wednesday evening, a bus will take those who feel lucky to the Seneca Niagara Casino.
Thursday will be devoted to touring and socializing. We have a guest speaker for Thursday evening, Amanda Edmonds, who is the founder of “Growing Hope”, a not-for-profit organization that teaches disadvantaged youth and families to grow healthy food. Ms Edmonds is also founder of the Ypsilanti, MI Farmer’s market. Friday will begin our meeting sessions. That afternoon, we will take an EcoTour of the Niagara River with Captain Rick on the Grand Lady. This yacht is operated in conjunction with our hotel. Captain Rick will narrate the trip, pointing out nesting birds, animals and the geological formation of the Niagara Escarpment.
Friday evening we will treat ourselves to a wonderful dinner in the Greater Niagara Region (stay tuned for details).
Saturday we will conclude our meeting. The afternoon will find our group touring the beautiful Buffalo area. There is more to this region than you may expect! Our dinner that evening will include a silent auction, awards and the installation of new officers.
